the virtual sol cafe: 5 -ish...

I was planning on talking about Revelation some more tonight, but the group that showed up at "5-ish" was quite small, so we discussed the nature of religion instead. "Is Buddhism a religion or a philosophy?" was Andrew's starter question, which turned into "what is a religion?" The size of our group doubled at "6-ish" and so it turned into quite the lively debate. Check out the Food for Thought for details.

As far as the planned topic goes, we should be picking up where we left off on Revelation next week. Meanwhile, those who can and are interested are meeting on Thursday to experience the book as it was intended - read outloud, in entirety. E-mail us for details. If that's not your thing, I would still encourage you to give "the Apocalypse" a read-through in one sitting. I guarantee that if you haven't, it will give you a new appreciation for the book.
