No official gathering on July 29

Apologies for the less frequent updates, but it is the summer after all!

In that spirit, it looks like there will be no official gathering on Sunday, July 29, although there is nothing stopping people from doing a B.Y.O.S. -- Bring Your Own Service. If anyone is thinking of dropping by Cafe Dabar around our usual 5ish time, leave a note here so that anyone else thinking of dropping by will know who to look for.

Although we will not be meeting, here are this week's readings from the Revised Common Lectionary. Take a moment, if you can, to read them today and join in some "distributed churching"!

Apologies for the late posting, but on Sunday, July 8, starting around 5 pm, the sol cafe will be meeting at Cafe Dabar to continue our series looking at the Book of Revelation. Bring your questions, bring your curiosity, bring yourselves.

No meeting on Canada Day!

In what appears to be something of a "tradition" in the sol cafe, we will NOT be gathering for our usual Sunday meeting on July 1, 2007. Given our relatively small size and a number of us being away for the long weekend, and (perhaps most importantly) the coffee shop where we usually meet being closed for the stat holiday, we will be doing "distributed churching" this Sunday.

As a symbolic act of unity, we encourage everyone to read this week's Revised Common Lectionary passages wherever it is you end up gathering:
