a sol café manifestoThis is an attempt to capture a bit of what the sol café is all about. It will not capture everything. It won't even come close. This is not a statement of faith. This is not a statement of vision. It's just a statement. This is a piece of our manifesto:
we see in colour, we see in greys, just not in black and white... The world is a complex place, and that's a good thing. There is so much depth and subtlety to God's creation, I'd no more want to reduce it to black and white than want to cram it into a tiny box. I think we are all very excited to keep exploring and uncovering more of... everything that's out there.
This is our guide...

To further the idea of not simply labelling something as black or white, being able to consider the possibility of colour.
Mystery, I can't explain my faith in it's entirety. I don't understand all of God's motives as my life has unfolded. I don't know why there is suffering, exactly, or even close actually. The Bible is not a very clear instruction manual to life. Yes it is the Word of God, revelation of the spirit. But is the answer to every difficult question life brings easy to find? Some think so, written books to prove it.
No, life is to be gone thru accepting we will not be able to categorize everything, we will be confused, hurt, betrayed, left asking why. Many of us have also been blessed without measure, for that we give thanks, but we don't really know why we have and others haven't. It can't be written down in a formula, the only constant is God's Grace. There are too many other variables, and we don't understand grace enough to put it into any formula.
